Who we are. Synli is a product of Cogni Norway AS.

What we do. Synli helps small businesses plan posts, publish content, and view basic performance across LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.

Data we process

  • Account & identity: name, email, profile identifiers from LinkedIn/Meta sign-in.
  • Connected assets: Page/IG account IDs, roles, ad account IDs (if connected).
  • Content & analytics: posts scheduled/published via Synli; performance metrics (reach, impressions, engagement) retrieved from platform APIs.
  • Technical: device/browser info, IP (for security), session cookies.

How we get data. You connect your accounts using LinkedIn OpenID/OAuth and Meta Facebook Login/Graph API. We only access the permissions you approve on the consent screen.

Legal bases (GDPR).

  • Contract (deliver the features you ask us to use),
  • Legitimate interests (security, reliability, product improvement),
  • Consent where required (e.g., marketing emails).

Sharing. We share data only with:

  • Social platforms to perform actions you initiate (publish posts, fetch insights),
  • Infrastructure providers (hosting, logs, error monitoring) under data-processing agreements. We do not sell personal data.

Retention. We retain data while your workspace is active. You can disconnect channels and delete posts at any time. After disconnection, remaining logs/metrics are pruned on a rolling schedule unless law requires longer retention.

Your rights. Email privacy@cogni.no to access, correct, delete, or export your data. EU/EEA users may also contact Datatilsynet.

How to revoke platform access.

  • LinkedIn: LinkedIn → Settings & Privacy → Data privacy → Permitted services → remove Synli.
  • Facebook/Instagram: Facebook → Settings → Business Integrations / Apps & Websites → remove Synli.

Cookies. Essential cookies are used for secure sign-in and sessions. Any analytics/marketing cookies are opt-in.

Security. TLS in transit, least-privilege access, periodic reviews.

Children. Synli targets business users; not intended for children under 16.

Data deletion. Email privacy@cogni.no from your account email to delete Synli-stored data. To stop future data sharing, also revoke Synli in LinkedIn/Facebook settings (see above).
